Leader Board FAQ
How it
works?
All the leader
boards here at MyGEN pull data from your gamergard via special
access MyGEN has to the Xbox Live data, it also pulls data
on a members recent played games. It then stores the data
on our servers to use in the leader boards you see here. To
do this you need to be a member of MyGEN and have your gamertag
entered in your profile.
All my
games aren't showing why not?
To make sure your
games are showing below you need to have had that game as
one of your recent 16 played games. The data we pull from
Xbox only supplies us with the latest 16 games, simply throw
that game in for a minute and jump online. Once you do this
your guaranteed we will pick up the data at next view of your
gamertag and update your games list.
I don't
want my recent games displayed how can I just be included
in the overall rankings?
By accessing your
gamertag privacy settings on your console you can choose to
disable certain settings. This can be achieved by going into
your gamertag, selecting edit profile and then selecting privacy
settings. Changing your status of Played Games you can choose
to have it shown to everyone, friends only and blocked. To
show your stats here on MyGEN you need to have it set to everyone.
How often
is the data at MyGEN updated?
It is updated once
every twenty four hours automatically, it can also be updated
manually by simply viewing an individual's gamertag here.
A gamertag can be updated all the time but a gamertag won't
appear in any leader boards or be pulled automatically unless
that user has visited MyGEN in the last 25 days and has logged
in. This saves processing on our own servers as well as Xbox's
servers from unwanted gamertags who simply don't visit. This
also keeps the leader boards up to date with active users
data.
How do
I add my gamertag?
Register with MyGEN
and when you have signed up simply visit the reigister your
gamertag page above or by clicking
here. Our system validates your gamertag by getting you
to update your motto with a special code. All in all it takes
roughly 15-30 minutes to complete.Type it as you did on Xbox
Live. The quickest way then to get it into our leaderboards
is to visit the individual gamertag page here
and look up your gamertag.
How do
I update my Gamertag information?
This is done daily
automatically as long as you have visited in the last 25 days.
You can also update it at any time by viewing your own gamertag
here.
If I'm
first to finish a particular Xbox Live title how do I make
sure it's recorded against my name?
Again update your
gamertag by visiting the individual gamertag page. The title
will update if all achievements have been unlocked. If this
is the case it records your last played date as the finished
date. If you finish a game make sure you don't play it again
until your GT is updated otherwise the finish date will be
incorrect. This will be used for future exciting competitions
and will be good to know.
I went
to the individual page and my gamertag data hasn't updated.
Why?
Be mindful during
peak periods Xbox is under heavy load, the data we pull is
then delayed up to 30-45 mins to handle the load in these
cases. Most of the time you should find it ok, if not let
us know. In most cases it will be real time.
So what
fields need to be filled out? What's the criteria again?
